RAD Room Airflow Distribution

The purpose of a room-by-room load calculation, such as The Visual J, is to determine the correct amount of airflow to be distributed to each room according to its cooling or heating load. The VISUALj  Whole House Load Calculation doe's not look at the individual room loads and cannot directly be used to distribute air quantities to individual rooms. RAD Room Airflow Calculation is a program for quickly translating the VISUALj Whole House Load Calculation into airflow quantities for the individual rooms.

This program takes advantage of the time saving whole house method used by the VISUALj and gain room-by-room airflow estimates throughout the house.

RAD can also be used for air balance on an existing house where the required CFM quantities for each room is unknown. All you need to know is the total CFM of the unit and take a few measurements and you can calculate the required CFM for each room.
